We are also delighted to announce that there will be a training school on PET/MR Image Reconstruction on Sunday 20th of May, organised by the CCP PET-MR team. The school will cover basic principles of the physics behind the acquisition process and image reconstruction methods used for both PET and MR. The school will include practical sessions with the Open Source software Synergistic Image Reconstruction Framework (SIRF).
Dr. Kris Thielemans (University College London) with assistance by Dr. Nicola Belcari (University of Pisa) for local arrangements.
Prof. Andrew Reader (King’s College London), Dr. Kris Thielemans (University College London), Dr. Gastao Cruz (King’s College London) and Dr. David Atkinson (University College London).
Registration for the school is required via the conference registration form.
The school is sponsored by CCP PET-MR and free for all attendees. As during the conference, lunch and dinner for Sunday are covered by your payment for the conference hotel, but if staying elsewhere, a separate fee will have to be paid (see the instructions for the conference).
In addition, CCP PET-MR can refund travel costs and one hotel night for school attendees who have an affiliation to a UK institution or are based in the UK and self-funded. After registering, please email a brief statement to email@example.com with details on your institution and why you will attend the school, signed by yourself and your supervisor or line manager. Travel and one night hotel will be refunded after attending the school on receipt of original receipts and an expense claim form.
A bus from Pisa will be available one day before the training school for those who want to attend. Please refer to the conference registration form for reserving places. In case of high demand, an additional bus from Rome will be possibly arranged.
